Fruits and Foods Allowed on a Fruit Diet?

In this fruit diet section we’ll go over more on the importance of adding a few more choices into your diet. Fruit alone does not always sustain the body’s various needs for nutrients, so we’ll look into what additions will give your body the nutrients it needs to sustain the vital organs, bones, tissues and cells during your fruit cleanse diet.

Adding Juice Recipes

Since we’ve discovered that the body actually needs more nutrients than fruit alone can supply, I suggest you include freshly juiced vegetable juices, plus a fatty acid oil, such as flax seed oil. Your body cannot properly function with these important oils, so you might want to include the addition of a tablespoon daily of flaxseed oil, or hemp oil to give you the Omega 3s, 6s and 9s you need.

Your vegetable juices can consist of freshly juiced carrots, raw green leafy vegetables, cabbage, celery and beet juices with lemon added.

A fruit and veggie diet can last anywhere from 3 days detox, to 7-10 days detox, depending on what you choose and feel you can successfully complete. This length of time gives your body the time it will need to detoxify, heal, and lose weight.

Best Fruits for Your All Fruit Diet

I’m sure by now you’ve already discovered that certain fruits you have chosen are tasty and delicious, while others are not. There could be a few reasons for that, as I’ll explain. You should take time to learn how and where to purchase your fruits and veggies, since most conventional farms today use heavy toxic pesticides sprayed on crops which leave a heavy residue. These pesticide residues go into your body and they stay there for years; recent studies are showing how dire the situation is and how these residues are carcinogenic.

This is why I recommend you make sure your choice of fruits and vegetables are from a reputable source or farmer’s market where you can ask your farmer these questions, or buy organic produce. Another point is that if fruit is picked in advance of being ripe, and shipped around the world, if might not properly ripen properly plus has little taste. Make sure your vegetables and fruits haven’t been genetically modified (most are not, but some are) or chemicals sprayed in the soil that enhance rapid growth.

Choosing good fruit:

  • Eat seasonal fruit and veggies
  • Find a good grocery store
  • Choose organic when possible
  • Learn how to choose good tasting fruits

Best fruits for your fruit diet:

  • Preferable to choose low-acid fruits, melons, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew
  • When choosing citrus fruits, opt for the sweetest

Note: Remember that fruits which have a high Vitamin C content or citric acid will be excellent detoxifiers for your colon, lymph glands, etc. During your fruits diet you will experience diarrhea and loose stools, that’s to be expected and means your body is detoxifying. So, don’t worry!
